2024 marked the 400-year anniversary of the VOC arrival in Taiwan. We wanted to celebrate the cultural exchange between the Netherlands, Taiwan, and other nations over centuries by organizing a festival in Amsterdam. The festival name WEAVE symbolizes diverse threads of creativity from many cultures intertwining to form a tapestry of beauty, much like what you would find in Taiwan.

 

And a celebration naturally included music, dance, art, food, crafts, and storytelling! After all, these are the most universal forms of communication between peoples.
